@littleLOLkat I dont know how you cant be aware that people are going to look at you. Besides, it what you really want isn’t it? Attention? I mean, im sympathetic to these issues because i’ve experienced some of them myself… But i think saying its rude to look at someone who is literally asking for it is kind of a stretch. Look like a “normal” thin person and that wouldnt happen to you. I think anorexics enjoy the shock value and they feel superior to others because they are so thin.

I read in times that eating 30 percent less than “normal” can actually make you live longer, you just have to eat enough vitamins, minerals etc

i hate how so many people point their fingers to celebrities of what decisions they took like the pressure to lose weight after pregnancy.. they did not point the finger at you and say “do it now!!”

@pandamaltesers i agree. i think they are both dangerous. i know girls who don’t eat and are overweight because it screws up your metabolism. i also know people who purge and simply don’t get enough calories out to make a difference. on the other hand, many people DO become emaciated using these tactics. but regardless of their weight, they will end up hurting themselves both mentally and physically. &celebs have money for expensive health food and trainers keepin them thin- which is different

@pandamaltesers because anorexia destroys bones muscles indigestion, and the heart. also they would have no nutrients what so ever, hence brittle hair, nails are brittle, teeth lose. bulimia is more of regretting having eating and throwing up, but they still do eat.

@guntherbladderburst I’ll agree with what you say. I went through an eating disorder and dropped 72 lbs as well going through extreme dieting. I am now working out with a personal trainer who also works as a nutritionist and is helping me find a healthy balance for exercising, keeping a good weight for my height and making sure I eat the right amount of calories. My boyfriend loves the way I am (I am between a size 6-8 depending on the style of clothing) and I love the fact that I have curves.

@Aches86 The body stops milk production if it doesn’t get enough nutrients. I’m not sure though that if you do eat enough, it helps to loose weight.

@zeldaofarel But isn’t breast feeding the key to lose the extra weight?

@littleLOLkat That’s how millions of people feel out there, whether they’re too skinny, too fat, too small, too tall, too ugly for the standards… I’m a size 12. Overweight? or am I just like a normal woman should be? And yet there’ll always be a fucker to think I’m “too fat”. I’m a sports nut and I’ll bet I eat way better than they do. So you know what… I don’t care… it’s just blah. Nobody knows what’s normal anymore.

i agree that all eating disorders are extremely dangerous but it’s true that anorexia has the highest death rate…it’s because of the amount of complications that are involved with it…i’ve suffered from anorexia for 9 years now…i’ve come close to the end several times…the MK thing is really sad…she must have been mentally suffering so much

@littleLOLkat True, but it still does. Though when I see such people on the street, it makes me wish I could help them.

Those women who loose so much weight after giving birth probably don’t breast-feed.

WHY is anorexia the most serious? wtf?!!
Bulimia is generally more dangerous, damages the body more, it has a higher suicide rate etc. You don’t have to look ill to be seriously ill.
This makes me so angry.

@juliemulie345 : You can have the same health issues when you undereat at a any weight. You need a certain amount of macro-nutrients to regulate your body fluids. It does not take years. It could just be hot outside 1 day and if you electrolytes are off from a crash/too low cal diet (ed or not) you can go into cardiac arrest.

Anorexia isn’t a way to look, it’s a way of thinking. It bothers me when people think it’s all about the weight to judge wether or not someone has an eating disorder. You can suffer from obsessive compulsive overeating and be thin, and you can suffer from anorexia, bulumia and orthorexia and not be underweight. It’s what happends to you psychologically not physically.

@littleLOLkat It’s rude, but it’s true. It’s horrifying to see someone up close who is slowly killing themself. Even more so when it is someone you know and love and there is nothng you can do or say to stop them.
