How does a dating site with personal solicitations get on my email account?

I click yahoo mail and a dating site with personal solicitations comes up. Also, other dating sites are advertised. How did it get there?

  Could be spam on your inbox (if you mean you have emails…)

  If you are talking about pop-ups and stuff that comes on your screen then you could have some sort of spyware or malware…

  try running your anti-virus (make sure it is up to date)

  Are you sure that it’s not just an advert?
