Is experience volunteering at a Hospital good on a resume when applying for a job at a hospital?

Here’s the scoop. I’m starting my classes for my Certified Nursing Assistant Certification soon. I’m looking to eventually change careers from IT into Nursing full time. I need to get a job after I complete my classes and I’m doing some volunteer work at the hospital in the meantime. I hope that once I’m employed at the hospital I can then get tuition assistance from them to go to nursing school.

  Yes, it shows that you are interested enough in that field to be there for no pay. Volunteering is rewarding all the way around. Good luck!

  Defiantly, I was considering going into physical therapy and that’s what they suggested. It gets you used to the environment because nothing else really compares to it.
