Hey Guys,
I’d like to create a device that receives GPS data and transmits information collected (pretty much the receiver that you designed) where did you find the receiver/how did you design it. Any tips on how to get started?

Wow you made electronics fun. (HOW IT SHOULD BE!!!!) Thanks for that.
How did you program the LCD? USB cable? Also what language is it? Assembly?

lcd don’t need manual degaussing
thought I should point this out cause most other types of monitor/screen DO pick up static.

he sucked on prototype this too : )
nah just kidding, big fan of the show. real shame it was cancelled. I had the perfect 2 projects for them to build. could have been world changing. this one first “zev. dk” and then a variant with a lifting body and a ducted fan prop behind the driver so it is both car and plane. first practical flying car in the world

@PeeteyP It is free, although if you live in the UK, it’ll probably taxed at some point in the next 10 years.

I totally wouldn’t be showing my GPS data if I was at home with a video online. Might as well be posting your address.

It’s actually cheaper now to buy a brand name GPS. The Parallax GPS reciever module is 80 bucks alone. A Nextar or Rightway is 70 bucks for the whole charger, mount, voice prompts, etc.
