  @TheCyberToad that means an inch is changeing in value over time. Or the lengths is changeing over time and the inch is constant cause, the number of inches on a meter seems to be changeing year after year. If I were you I rather own some land and a shotgun and some hired henchmen.

  A penthouse with no food in it or a car with no fuel in it is pretty worthless no matter how many inches long the car is.

  @TheHolySpirit Forget gold and silver, that is also fiat currency, it only has a value as long as the industry has a need to consume it. Back in history it was the aristocracy who liked it at the same time it was hard to come by, these days it is the industry while the ability to extract gold has increased. No, you need to own LAND. Somewhere that you can grow potatoes on. If there is no market at least you can grow for yourself so you survive while other die.

  @DKGonzo86 Correct! And since 1971 the dollar is NOT money (since Nixon came off of the Gold Standard) It IS Fiat Currency – backed by nothing but the thin air from which it was created by the Fractional Reserve banking system.

  People – Try and name a single Fiat Currency throughout history that has preceded the present one that hasn’t completely collapsed and become worthless.

  Historically over thousands of years gold and silver have more or less kept their value compared to fake currency.

  Contrary to popular belief most people in the world don’t use money. They just use Fiat Currency which is rapidly heading towards it’s ultimate value of.. zero.

  Money is a unit of measure, an inch is to Length what a dollar is to Value. At the very most it’s just a means to an end, something to be traded, not accumulated. I’d rather have a nice suit,a flash car, a killer penthouse and an empty bank account
