Guys have been jaded by women before too. Don’t be cynical and make this one-sided. The reason why things may change is usually because the women guys try to be with seem to want to wrap them around their finger and try to tie them down too much.

Relationships are healthy when each person grows. I don’t know why it’s so hard for women to let their men be themselves. We watch sports? OK, you watch your stupid TV shows like Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Glee, American Idol, etc.

The key to a successful relationship is how well you both execute the give and take concept. If men say one thing, they should be held to it and show they are dependable. And the same rule should apply to women. If men let their girlfriends go out with their friends, women should let their men do the same. No one should have more leeway over the other. Although, sometimes it seems like women get away with more. Each one has to hold themselves accountable.

Love is a complicated situation, considering you cannot choose or discard it by pure will. Some sociopaths might love the idea of loving someone but they never can and others might love the idea of not loving someone but still love them, say an ex after a few years etc. Love chooses you, that’s why everyone should be themselves and not act like they think their partner wants them to. If everyone acted in that way there would be a lot more successful marriages in my opinion.
